The band consist of four very talented and experienced musicians: Kevin Sisson on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Mark Pounds on lead guitar and vocals, John Dumas on bass guitar and vocals, and Matt Goodwin on Drums. The Blend of sonic exuberance and personal maturity is just a couple of things that make Savin' Dixon such an intriguing musical property.
The band is from Southern Arkansas and North Louisiana and has played for audiences all over. From the clubs in the Southern Arkansas and North Louisiana area to packing record setting crowds at the Talledega Super Speedway in Talledega, Alabama. They have opened for acts such as Tracy Lawrence, Mickey Gilley, Mike Mancy Band & Stoney Larue.
Savin' Dixon credits their sound from their large variety of musical influences such as Cross Canadian Ragweed, Randy Rogers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Waylon Jennings just to name a few.
The band's driving sound and energy capture the free-wheeling nature of their concerts, which have built them a solid base of fans.
What started out as some guys getting together one day to have a jam session, has been nine years into the journey now. Throughout their advances, Savin' Dixon has maintained an internal enthusiasm that's easily apparent. Where the journey ends, who knows? But it's sure worth sticking around for! |
